Susheela: Many Created Differences Between S. Janaki and Me

Hyderabad: Veteran playback singer P. Susheela became emotional while remembering legendary singer S. Janaki after her demise. A video of Susheela speaking about Janaki is now going viral on social media.

"Janaki was an extraordinary singer. God took her away. There is no music now. No one could imagine the different ways she could sing. That is why we presented the first award in my name to her. It is one of the best things I have done in my life," Susheela said with tears in her eyes.

She praised Janaki's unmatched talent, saying, "Janaki could sing in a male voice, like a little child, or like an elderly person. She knew exactly how to captivate the audience. I'm nothing in front of her."

Susheela also spoke about the unhealthy comparisons that were often made between them.

"Throughout our careers, people tried to create differences between us by comparing us. I think such people are happy now. " Susheela added.

She further stated that "Janaki achieved everything. She has no death. She will always remain beside Goddess Saraswati. People were truly blessed to witness such a divine voice."
