Salman Khan’s Next Superhero Film: Mythri Eyes the Biggie ?

After tasting success with the commercial action film Jaat starring Sunny Deol, leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers is steadily expanding its footprint across Indian cinema by backing films in multiple languages. The banner, which made its Hindi debut with Jaat, is now reportedly in the race to produce a film with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

Salman is set to headline a superhero film to be directed by the talented duo Raj & DK, and Mythri Movie Makers is said to be a strong contender to bankroll the project. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, with shooting expected to commence next year.

Salman Khan is presently working on director Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming action entertainer, which is being produced by Dil Raju. After wrapping up the film, the superstar is expected to move on to Raj & DK’s project. Apart from Mythri, another production house is also reportedly in the fray to co-produce the big-budget film. An official announcement is awaited.

Mythri Movie Makers has already established a strong presence in Telugu cinema through collaborations with stars such as Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun. The banner has also expanded into other industries, producing the Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly. A Salman Khan-led superhero film would further strengthen Mythri’s pan-Indian ambitions and significantly expand its brand equity in the Hindi market.
