Rao Bahadur Collections Dip Drastically?

Director Venkatesh Maha even compared Satya Dev with legendary Kamal Hassan to boost the film.

Despite all the hype and hoopla, the much hyped psychological drama Rao Bahadur has taken a beating at the box office in the last three days. "The film has garnered Rs 3 cr share in Telugu states till date and the last three days in collected 45 to 50 lakhs which is unfortunate," says a leading exhibitor who feels that performances of Satya Dev is not enough to pull it off into a big winner.

"Satya Dev played a mentally disturbed old man who has nagging doubt about lineage of his second son which works well in the last twenty minutes but the first half is big drawback for its slow pacing and repetitive conversations, "he adds.

Director Venkatesh Maha even compared Satya Dev with legendary Kamal Hassan to boost the film. "Overhyping some times backfires if the film doesn't match up to expectations generated by makers. Young filmmakers have to be careful and cautious since netizens are sparing none with trolls and memes," he points out.

He says it's good attempt which went wrong due to dreary narration. "It has make another 5 or 6 crores in theatres, or else it will be difficult, he concludes
