Ace filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has embarked on a special tour across Europe, where he will showcase the expanding Baahubali universe while interacting with filmmakers, students and fans. The director, whose blockbusters Baahubali and RRR earned global acclaim, is visiting France and Switzerland from June 26 to July 4 for a series of screenings, masterclasses, interviews, fan interactions and special award ceremonies.

The tour began with a work-in-progress presentation of Baahubali: The Eternal War at the Annecy International Animation Festival in France, one of the world's most prestigious animation events. Rajamouli, who is producing the ambitious project under the Arka Mediaworks banner, unveiled the first glimpse of the upcoming CGI animated feature directed by Ishan Shukla.

Unlike the live-action franchise, Baahubali: The Eternal War ventures into an entirely new chapter of the iconic saga. The story follows Prince Baahubali after his death as he journeys into the afterlife, where he becomes part of an epic conflict spanning 14 mystical realms. The narrative pits the Devas against the Asuras in a battle symbolising the eternal clash between Order and Chaos. The animated feature is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027.

Rajamouli's European visit comes during a brief break from filming his much-awaited live-action spectacle Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The film is progressing at a brisk pace and is expected to wrap up shooting by August. It is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.

With the Baahubali franchise now expanding into animation and Rajamouli continuing to push Indian storytelling onto the global stage, the Europe tour marks another significant milestone in taking Telugu cinema to international audiences.
