As tensions continue to simmer between film producers and the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation, leading production house Mythri Movie Makers has spoken out while promoting the Telugu release of the Kannada blockbuster Su From So, scheduled to hit screens across the Telugu states on August 8.

Breaking their silence, the makers addressed ongoing concerns regarding the impact of the industry-wide strike. “Our shoots are proceeding as scheduled,” the team confirmed, adding that their highly anticipated project Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, is currently on set. “Pawan Kalyan’s portions will be wrapped up within a week, and the remaining shoot is expected to be completed in about 25 days,” they stated.

Their statement comes in the wake of reports that Federation representatives had attempted to disrupt filming on the set of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. However, the producers clarified that the shoot continued without any interruptions.

When asked about the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce’s recent suggestion to engage non-union workers, Mythri’s Naveen Yerneni responded cautiously. “We are exploring all options that are beneficial to our production. However, we are not commenting on the wage negotiations at this time,” he said.

With one of Tollywood’s biggest production houses affirming that their schedules remain on track, it’s evident that some film shoots are managing to push ahead despite the ongoing standoff. Nevertheless, the broader deadlock between the Federation and producers continues to cast uncertainty over several high-profile projects. The coming days will be critical in determining whether a resolution can be reached — or if the industry faces a prolonged disruption.
