According to the director, just 80 days of shooting remain. The team plans to complete this pending schedule before officially moving into post-production.

Last year, Rajamouli announced the film's title and introduced Mahesh Babu’s character via a striking look that featured him riding an ox while holding a trident in his hands. Varanasi is locked and loaded to hit theaters on April 7, 2027.
