I am blessed by Lord Ram, says Abhishek Agarwal

After megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Prabhas, Tollywood producer Abshishek Agarwal has received an invitation to attend the historical Lord Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya on January 22. “I can’t ask for anything more in this life,” says Abhishek who is the only Tollywood producer to be invited for the much-awaited event. He also talks about his upcoming movies like ‘India House’ and ‘Delhi Files’ in an exclusive chat with Deccan Chronicle.

Q: Are you happy about receiving an invitation for Ram Temple consecration?

A: Honestly, I have no words to express happiness and joy. Probably, I am blessed by Bhagavan Shri Ram as I received an invitation for such a historical event which we have been waiting for the last 500 years. I can’t ask for anything more in this life since it's a rare and monumental moment for Sanathan Dharm. I have been a staunch devotee and it would be a cherishable moment for me and my family.

Q: Along with superstars like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Prabhas, are you the only Telugu producer to grace the event?

A: It is true that I am the only producer to be attending the memorable event along with other movie stalwarts. I am quite happy and elated about it. It will have stalwarts from all walks of life since it is the biggest moment in Indian history in recent times. It is also an occasion of pride for every Hindu and Indian. It is also a privilege to be witnessing Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya and also being in the premises of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra and witness history.

Q: Will your family be attending the spiritual event along with you?

A: No. I am only one who will be attending the event, while my family members including my mother will be staying around and bound to be mesmerized by the religious fervor and chanting all over Ayodhya. Later, I am taking my family to Kashi for a holy dip in Ganges and it would be a spiritual journey for our family. I would be wearing a traditional dress and I would be fasting for one day on January 22, while attending the consecration.

Q: After ‘Tiger Nageshwara Rao,’ are you planning any movies?

A: We are going to make two big films this year. We have much-hyped ‘India House’ with happening actor Nikhil and it would commence in April. It would be a Telugu and Hindi bilingual movie. Later in June, I would be joining hands with ace director Vivek Agnihotri for much-awaited ‘Delhi Files’ and it would be another path-breaking entertainer.
