The buzz around Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring the ever-charismatic Pawan Kalyan, is undeniable. While anticipation for his comeback film runs high, distribution deals in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are still in the negotiation stage.

“There’s immense excitement for Pawan’s return, especially in the two Telugu states,” says producer Lagadapati Sridhar. “However, the industry is currently facing a cash crunch, and final deals will likely be closed closer to the film’s release.”

Sridhar adds that Pawan Kalyan has invested immense effort into the film, not only refining his martial arts skills but also contributing behind the scenes as a technician. “His dedication and passion will be evident on screen. Despite the extended production schedule, Pawan’s hard work will not go unnoticed.”

The film’s commercial potential has also been bolstered by Pawan Kalyan’s recent political success. After aligning with the TDP and forming a government in Andhra Pradesh, his popularity has grown beyond his traditional fan base. “His political stature has added a new layer of support, significantly expanding his reach and influence,” says Sridhar.

With Hari Hara Veera Mallu being one of the most expensive films in Pawan Kalyan’s career, with a reported budget exceeding ₹200 crore, distributors and producers are carefully evaluating its market value. “It’s a high-stakes project. If a mutually agreeable valuation isn’t reached, the producer may consider releasing it independently,” Sridhar explains.

The film’s historical narrative, which includes references to the Nizam rule and the atrocities of the Razakars, is also expected to resonate with Hindi-speaking audiences. Sridhar notes, “Recent blockbusters like The Kashmir Files and Chhava prove there’s strong demand for films with nationalist themes. With the right strategy, Hari Hara Veera Mallu could become Pawan’s breakout hit in North India.”

Producer A. M. Rathnam, who has made a significant investment in the film, is hopeful of securing large advances soon. “He’s expecting substantial returns, and though there are delays, everything should fall into place shortly,” Sridhar concludes.
