Devi Sri Prasad.

Devi Sri Prasad is going all out to make Yellamma, his acting debut, a memorable musical experience. The composer has reportedly taken an unprecedented step by bringing together 100 folk rhythm artists from different parts of India and recording them simultaneously for the film.

Keen to capture the richness and diversity of Indian folk music, DSP wanted artists representing different folk traditions to come together and create a distinctive sound. This unique recording exercise is expected to give the Yellamma theme song and its first single a special musical flavour. The first single is likely to be released soon.

Directed by Venu Yeladandi, who shot to fame with the National Award-winning film Balagam, Yellamma is being mounted on a grand scale by producers Dil Raju and Shirish. The makers are keen to preserve the authenticity of folk music while presenting the story to a wider audience.

The film's shooting is progressing at a brisk pace, and the makers are planning a worldwide release on March 5 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada.
