Boman Irani's character in The Raja Saab brings twist in the film
Bollywood actor Boman Irani is set to play a key role in the upcoming Telugu horror comedy The Raja Saab. Director Maruthi has now revealed details about the character, calling it one of the most important roles in the film.
In a video shared by the film’s official X account, Maruthi said that Boman Irani will be seen as a psychiatrist, with a completely different makeover. He explained that the character was designed to dramatically shift the film’s tone. According to the director, from the moment the psychiatrist enters the story, the narrative takes an unexpected and unimaginable turn, elevating the horror-comedy element.
Maruthi also praised Boman Irani’s commitment and performance. “After the narration, he completely owned the character. He delivered dialogues in both Telugu and Hindi. He is the kind of actor who mesmerises the audience,” the director said. He added that although Boman Irani appears on screen for only 15 to 16 minutes, his presence leaves a strong impact, keeping viewers captivated throughout his scenes.
Boman Irani has previously acted in Telugu films such as Atharintiki Daaredi, Naa Peru Surya, and Bengal Tiger. He is making a return to Tollywood after a considerable gap.
