Atlee Eyes Rajinikanth, But Says No Clarity Yet?
Atlee has already established a strong track record of working with some of the biggest stars across industries.
Tamil director Atlee has finally opened up about the possibility of teaming up with Superstar Rajinikanth, but fans hoping for an immediate announcement may have to wait. In a recent interaction, the filmmaker admitted that he currently has no clarity on when such a collaboration could materialise.
Atlee explained that he generally takes considerable time between films as he prefers to spend enough time on scripting, planning and execution. Given his working style, he said it is difficult for him to predict when he could take up a project with Rajinikanth, whose packed schedule also makes a potential collaboration more complicated.
Atlee has already established a strong track record of working with some of the biggest stars across industries. After directing Tamil star Vijay in films like Theri, Mersal and Bigil, he made his Bollywood debut with Jawan, teaming up with none other than Shah Rukh Khan. The film went on to become a major commercial success.
He is now expanding his horizons further with Raaka, his ambitious upcoming film starring Allu Arjun. The project is reportedly being mounted on a massive scale and is expected to take considerable time before reaching theatres.
With Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan already on his impressive list and Allu Arjun currently in his hands, Atlee appears to be steadily aiming for even bigger combinations in the coming years. A collaboration with Rajinikanth could certainly be one of the most anticipated among them.
For now, however, fans may have to wait a little longer to see whether Atlee and Rajinikanth will eventually join forces.
