Vishnu Manchu To Back Olympic Aspirants With Scholarships

Actor-producer Manchu Vishnu has announced a new initiative aimed at nurturing India’s future Olympic medal hopes. He revealed that 100% sports scholarships will be offered at Mohan Babu University (MBU) and Sree Vidyaniketan International School, beginning from the academic year 2026–27. 

The scholarship program will initially support sports such as cricket, basketball and badminton. Exceptionally talented athletes selected under the scheme will receive complete support covering academics, professional coaching, nutrition, training facilities, and accommodation.

As part of the initiative, the institutions will collaborate with top-tier coaches from India and abroad to ensure world-class training and guidance for the athletes. 

Announcing the program, Manchu Vishnu said his dream is to see MBU produce Olympians by 2036, the year India hopes to host the Olympic Games. He added that the initiative is designed to remove financial barriers and allow young sportspersons to focus entirely on excellence in both education and sports.
