The Nagarjuna-starrer Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana, is back in the news for its ensemble cast. After roping in Naga Chaitanya for a pivotal role, the makers have now cast Krithi Shetty as his romantic pair.
The Kannada actress is working on three projects post the super success of her debut film Uppena earlier this year.
Chay’s project will be her fourth signing in this year. Talking about her casting in Bangarraju, the film’s director Kalyan Krishna says they approached Krithi much before Uppena became a huge hit.
“We were in talks with her much before her debut film released. But unfortunately, COVID-19 broke out and subsequently our discussions were delayed,” shares the director. “We saw her work in ad commercials and her expressions are very natural. Her role in our film has a lot of energy and we thought her looks would aptly complement her skills,” explains the director, adding that, she is yet to sign on officially. Interestingly, there’s also a buzz that she has signed a film opposite Nithiin.
