South cinema always springs a surprise: Harshita Gaur

Harshita admits that the biggest challenge has been to get the language and expressions right.

Actress Harshita Gaur will soon make her Telugu debut with Faluknama Das. Directed by Vishwak Sen, who also plays the lead role, the Mumbai actress will be seen as a medico in the crime drama. Talking about the film, Harshita says, “I play Sakhi, an MBBS student, she’s a spirited girl who has her values intact. She aspires to become a great doctor but what happens to her when she meets Das (played by Vishwak Sen) has been grippingly narrated.” Stating that making her acting debut in the South was a memorable experience,

Harshita explains, “I was very excited when I got the offer because working in the South means a lot — their concepts are very good, different and unusual. In fact, the South always springs a surprise with their concept of cinema. I am now looking forward to working in more films.” The actress has done quite a bit of homework to prepare for her part. “I have learnt classical dance, apart from picking up the language. Since I was new to Telugu, I tried to understand the meaning of my dialogues so that I could express myself better,” she shares.

Harshita admits that the biggest challenge has been to get the language and expressions right. “But I learned the language to overcome that hurdle,” she explains.
