Tejaswi Madivada, who has amply demonstrated her acting skills, will be turning assistant director for a web series. She has been working for the Telugu web series directed by Anish Yohan Kuruvilla for the past few months.

“I have been thinking of taking up greater responsibility and wanted to learn new things in my field. I am glad that I got the opportunity to work as an AD for this project,” beams Tejaswi. “I have been quietly observing, learning, and enjoying so many things as an AD. I enjoy both — being an actress and an AD,” she says, adding that an AD has a lot of scope to learn about technical finesse.

“AD’s get a holistic and comprehensive understanding of filmmaking since they have to work on costumes, production, direction, etc. It’s not an easy job,” says the actress. “Being an AD is a lot more tiring than being an actress, she says, adding that as an actress, in future she will be able to empathise more with the ADs on the sets.

“Being an AD helps me as an actress to,” she says, adding that now she knows exactly what the ADs want with regard to a scene. “Perhaps this is the best experience I have had of filmmaking. I shall continue to grab such opportunities whenever I can,” the actress says, signing off.
