Nikhil’s next is on temple architects

After the success of the mystery thriller Karthikeya, director Chandoo Mondeti has set off to making an even bigger sequel, Karthikeya 2.
While the pre-production work of the Nikhil-starrer is in full swing, we have learnt that the plot of the film is based on the architects of temples.
“Starting from Dwaraka, the story takes us through different swayambhu (self-manifested or self-existing) temples across India. So there’s a lot of travelling,” informs a source.
Then, adding that the protagonist, Nikhil, will play the role of a medico in the film, the source says, “Nikhil’s character, which has a lot of depth, sets off on an adventurous expedition for a particular cause and later discovers several truths. The actor is currently prepping up for the part, which includes a certain amount of working out, too.”
Meanwhile, the filmmakers are close to finalising the film’s leading lady. “The director is yet to take a call,” the source adds, “But it’ll be a toss between Anupama Parameswaran and Nabah Natesh for the female lead.
