Music composer S.S. Thaman might be basking in the glory of two chartbusters, Samajavaragamana and Ramuloo Ramulaa from the in-progress film, Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo, starring Allu Arjun, but Thaman is quick to say that music should always complement the film’s story. “Since it is the music that comes out first, it should typically reflect the film’s genre and character,” explains Thaman, adding that he always tries to make the music mirror the lyrics.

The latest song, Butta Bomma, a romantic melody from the film, has been released, and Thaman is full of praise for the lyricist, Ramajogaiah Sastry for the soulful rendition. “If the audience can understand the insightful lyrics, they will push the song to fresh heights and that’s the key to any superhit number. I think emotional depth and meaningful lyrics coupled with soothing tunes are what makes an instant chartbuster. Also, director Trivikram Srinivas’ style of montage scenes adds a lot of pep to the song.”
