Producers don't have a say: Nandamuri Balakrishna

Disapproving the dominating nature of actors and directors today, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna stated that no one values a producer’s role in the industry.

“Nowadays, producers don’t have a say as the director and actor talk in a closed room and they decide everything. That is not right! We have to give importance to the producers too. I do that and let my producers know everything about the film,” said Balakrishna, whose Sankranti release Jai Simha have received a good response at the box office.

He continued, “Today film distributors come from different places and they are happy. I work hard for every film and some of them may be successful while the others may fail. Neither do I let the successes get to my head nor do I sit on the failures. I just focus on my work.”

Talking about box office earnings, the actor said that records do not matter.
“Many of my films have created unbeatable records. The point being records are always there, but they don’t matter; it is about how much the film collects, and the distributors and producers should feel happy when they put their money on the film,” said Balakrishna. The actor expressed his happiness for Jai Simha’s entry into the Rs 50-crore club.
