Jr NTR terms verbal attack on his aunt as anarchy'

A day after TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu broke down at a press conference over derogatory comments made in the AP Assembly about his wife Bhuvaneswari, actor Jr NTR has come out in support of Naidu.

In a video statement, Jr NTR said, “The words we use define our personality.” While criticism is common in politics, the actor said it has to be about problems faced by the public and not about people’s personal lives.

“The incident that happened was disheartening. When we comment on personal life, and that too against a woman, it marks the beginning of anarchy,” he said. “I am not making these remarks since I belong to the family, but as a son, husband, father and a responsible citizen of the country,” he asserted.

Saying that respecting women is part of Indian culture, Jr. NTR said the present generation had a duty to pass this on to the coming one, instead of setting a dangerous precedent.

Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna and Kalyanram too severely condemned the verbal attack on Bhuvaneswari.
