Taapsee Pannu to play a journalist

We were the first to tell you that Taapsee Pannu will be starring in a female-centric drama titled Mishan Impossible. Now we have learnt reliably that the actress will play the role of a journalist in the bounty-hunting comic caper set in Tirupati.

Talking about casting Taapsee in the film, Swaroop adds, “The role demands a lot of flexibility and we thought Taapsee would be apt for the part,” explains the director who’s open in admitting that her earlier performances and ability to slip into any role with great ease had impressed him immensely.

Apparently, the actress shared the director’s excitement when he narrated the story to her. The film is expected to be a unique narrative on bounty hunters with humour interspersed into the storyline. The director further reveals that the Anando Brahma actress will play a journo in the film.

“It’s not quite exactly a mainstream journalist but she is an independent and a private journalist. There’s a lot of curiosity that surrounds the character. Her role has been etched very grippingly and I am confident that her layered performance will be appreciated by the audience,” he adds.
