Director Kalyan Krishna is all set for the release of his upcoming Ravi Teja-starrer, Nela Ticket. “When I wrote the script I didn’t have Ravi Teja in mind. But after he gave his nod to the project, I modified the script,” he says.

Speaking about the film and Ravi’s role, the director says, “It’s a commercial film, but there is a lot of emotion involved. Ravi Teja plays an awara who meets many people and gets close to them.”

He adds that he is inspired by the actor’s dedication. “I still remember, he completed the last shot for my film at 5.30 pm and then went for a night shoot for his next film at 7 pm, without taking a break. He is an actor who is dedicated towards his work,” Kalyan says.

The director says the film’s title, Nela Ticket, justifies its story. “I used to buy nela (floor) tickets and watch movies. When I lived near RTC Crossroads, I watched two movies — the first from a balcony seat, and the second sitting on the floor. Audiences sitting on the floor usually don’t think about the logic behind a film. They just need a few laughs and a few emotional scenes to make them happy. That’s what I learnt while watching films when I first came to Hyderabad,” Kalyan says.

The director is happy with the way the film has turned out and confident that it will do well. “I  am confident that it has turned out according to my script,” he says.

Talking about his next project, he says that he is working on Bangarraju, a film that he is supposed to do with Nagarjuna.
