Popular playback singer turned dubbing artiste, Chinmayi Sripada hailed actress Samantha as a brave and nicest woman in the world. “I started my dubbing career in Telugu with your film and it has been a wonderful journey,” she says and adds.”Samantha you are a hero for girls and boys for your positivity and confidence.”

She was talking at an event of ‘Kushi’ and showered her love on Samantha by crooning a mellifluous song ‘Oru Deivam Thantha Poove’ (God-given flower) from Mani Ratnam’s acclaimed movie ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ to the roaring response from the viewers. Later, Samantha and Chinmayi hugged each other and showcased their respect and affection.

Earlier, the renowned singer was also in news for questioning the silence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on acting against lyricist Vairamuthu on her complaint over sexual charges. “I am holding so many people responsible for safeguarding Vairamuthu. Not one person in Tamil Nadu can say his character is clean. When I speak about Vairamuthu, CM Stalin goes silent,” she told an agency.

“My case has been in the City Civil Court for the past five years and nothing has happened so far,” Sripada alleged. The singer has been raising allegations that Vairamuthu had sexually abused her as well as other women.
