Ram Gopal Varma is one filmmaker with surprises hidden up his sleeve. In the latest development, the director took to Twitter to announce his next biopic, which will be based on the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

It looks like the director wants to stir up controversy before even commencing the film. “My next film is going to be a biopic based on @KTRTRS's father's plight when he couldn’t bear the 3rd class treatment that people from Andhra Pradesh were subjecting the Telangana population to, and will expound his fight towards the formation of the independent Telangana state (sic),” he wrote in his tweet.

RGV’s previous film Lakshmi’s NTR, which released everywhere except in Andhra Pradesh, also gave rise to a fair amount of controversy. Although he claimed that the film was based on facts, he actually glorified Lakshmi Parvathi in the film.
