Saaho makes a splash

The pre-release event of the upcoming film Saaho is set in a big way at RFC.

Actor Prabhas has specially invited his mentor and top director Rajamouli as chief guest for the event. The function, which has had the team working on it for the last few days, with close to Rs 3 crore spent in preparations, will have many Tollywood film personalities in attendance, including Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Krishnam Raju. In addition to showcasing the gadgets and bikes used in the film, the event will also have all the actors of the film, including Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tinnu Anand, Mandira Bedi, as well as the lead pair Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.

The event has been thoughtfully planned to be held at the outskirts of the city on Sunday evening. The idea was not only to accommodate the huge crowd of invitees but also to avoid traffic problems and other security concerns. The action drama, which is directed by Sujeeth, has already raked in a whopping Rs 135 crore in pre-release across both the Telugu states. We’ll just have to wait and watch whether, after all this fanfare, the film can live up to the expectations that Prabhas’ epic predecessor Baahubali has set.
