Actor Kalyan Ram is known to star in mass masala action flicks where he bashes up goons and mouths punch dialogues. Apparently, that was the one thing his wife, Swathi, told him to stop doing when she watched the National Award-winning film Shatamanam Bhavati.The actor recently revealed, “When she saw the film, she asked me why I do films high in violence instead of light and breezy films like these! I guess it’s time for me to do so now.”Swathi, the actor’s wife has always been a rock to him.

The actor had earlier said that when he was really low in his career, she knew how to give him space and understood his need to come to terms with it. “There was a time when the failure of a film really affected me. She’d always push me to get back to normalcy,” he said.In fact, she played an key role in Kalyan Ram’s weight loss for ISM. “She was the reason I was able to look the way I did in the film. She’d not allow me to cheat on my diet even for a day, and kept me motivated throughout,” he revealed.
