Rama Naidu Studios at Nanakram Guda is one of the landmarks of Hyderabad. The studio is among the busiest, as it is conveniently located on the outskirts of the city. But now, top producer Suresh Babu, the owner of this studio, is planning to shut it down. According to a source, he is concentrating on Visakhapatnam as it has been named the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

“Suresh Babu wants to turn his studio into a gated housing colony and is planning to expand his other studio located in Visakhapatnam,” says source.

Earlier, the studio was a clearly visible, iconic site. But now, with many residential buildings and business establishments coming up around it, it is very difficult to spot or reach it, according to the source.

The land is worth nearly `400 crore and Suresh Babu gets nearly `2 crore per year as revenue from film shootings.

The producer is planning to expand his Vizag studio by adding a few more natural sets. “He is going to erect a big set for his upcoming mythological film in the Vizag studio,” added the source.
