Director Anand Shankar was impressed with Arjun Reddy, and proposed a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The actor seems to have liked the plotline.

He’s the toast of the season for sure. After all, Arjun Reddy pushed him into the limelight and made filmmakers from across the country stand up and take notice. Even the likes of Mani Ratnam and Shankar are said to have offered actor Vijay Deverakonda roles in their films. While the fate of that is unknown, the actor might just make his Tamil debut in a film to be helmed by director Anand Shankar, who made his debut with Vikram-starrer Inkokkadu.

“Anand was impressed with Arjun Reddy, and proposed a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. A story narration was done as well. The actor seems to have liked it, but there’s too much on his plate at the moment. It is to be seen how things work out for them,” shares a source. Vijay got off to a promising start with Yevade Subramanyam and Pelli Choopulu. However, Arjun Reddy catapulted him into another league altogether. With several well-known filmmakers wanting to team up with him, the youngster is taking every step with extreme care.
