Vijayashanti demands Rs 5 crore for her role alongside Mahesh Babu?

Especially known for her performances in her various female-centric blockbusters, Vijayashanthi is all set to act alongside Mahesh Babu in an upcoming Anil Ravipudi directorial. The actress, however, has demanded a high remuneration for her role in the film.

“Vijayashanthi is being roped in to play one of the pivotal characters in the movie. She has agreed to come on board. However, she’s demanding Rs 5 crores for the job,” said a source privy to the dealings. The makers want only her in the role, though, so they’re doing their best to negotiate and cut a deal.

An outspoken actress back in the day, Vijayashanthi has now been making the news for her aggressive political remarks. As a representative of the Congress party, the heroine campaigned quite aggressively in the recently concluded general elections in Telangana.
