Allu Arjun mantains silence over the revival of the shelved film Icon

Allu Arjun

A couple of years ago, director Sriram Venu was supposed to direct Allu Arjun in Icon for producer Dil Raju. However, after the official announcement was made, the project was put on the back burner. Cut to the present. Sriram’s latest directorial Vakeel Saab, starring Pawan Kalyan, has become a runaway hit.

At the film’s success meet on Saturday, producer Dil Raju  said he intends to revive Icon. “It’s a beautiful story that’s close to my heart; the bound script is also ready. Due to various reasons, we couldn’t bring it to the sets, but we are going to do it next,” the producer said. But interestingly, there has been no word from Allu Arjun so far on the project.

The Pushpa star hasn’t even tweeted or sent any message appreciating Vakeel Saab. Moreover, he had earlier announced that he would be teaming up with director Koratala Siva, next.

Now, with Vakeel Saab proving to be a success, Sriram doesn’t need to wait for Allu Arjun anymore. In fact, he has been getting offers from various production houses. Will he wait for Bunny? Or move on? Time will tell.
