Bunny’s film is Covid-19’s latest victim

The coronavirus continues to have a major impact on the film industry. Apart from the release of films being postponed, shooting schedules are also being disrupted.

While the shooting of some Telugu films like Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog has already been postponed due to the threat posed by the virus, Allu Arjun’s new film, to be directed by Sukumar, is reportedly the latest victim.

The film, with a red sanders background requiring a dense forest locale, was supposed to be shot in forests of Kerala from next week. However, with Kerala being one  of the most affected states in India, the State government has cancelled all permissions for film shooting. The filmmakers are now looking for alternative locations.

A source  close to the unit says, “The team is disappointed with the news of permission being denied for the shooting. However, the filmmakers totally understood the sensitivity of the issue and took it in the right spirit. Director Sukumar is now scouting suitable locations to shoot the scenes.
