Lavanya Tripathi to play a cop!

Having played glamorous and girl-next-door girls, Lavanya Tripathi will be seen in an intense role. She’ll play the role of a no-nonsense crime investigator in her next outing, Meka-Puli, directed by K Chakravarthy Reddy.

While Aadi Saikkumar plays an occasionally flirtatious and otherwise serious-minded forensic analyst, Lavanya will lead the SIT (Special Investigation Team) to nab the culprits. “I play an investigator who wants to solve the case at the earliest and crack the mystery,” says the actress.

According to her, ace writer Kona Venkat came up with a racy screenplay and that’s one of the reasons she had chosen it. “Venkat garu has nailed it with impressive characterizations and situations laced with occasional humour,” she says, adding that Astrology is an important ingredient in the story.

And for the first time, the actress has performed action sequences. “There are a few heavy-duty action scenes and I have to train hard for it,” says Lavanya.
