Even while the entire unit of Mahesh Babu-starrer Spyder was gung-ho about shooting the climax of the film, they received a jolt. Apparently, the shooting of the spy thriller was supposed to start in the last weekend at NIMS hospital Bibinagar on the city outskirts. But just when things were all set, the shoot came to a grinding halt.

Sources say that a couple of days back, there were protests from locals and political outfits at the location, objecting the shoot. They demanded to know how the management could give permission for film shootings instead of putting in efforts to complete the work at the yet-to-be fully operational hospital.

One of the film’s producers, N.V. Prasad says, “We initially planned to shoot at the NIMS hospital, but later we came to know that the hospital was battling a legal problem. There was no protest, but to avoid unnecessary troubles; we have decided to shift the shooting to Chennai. All is well now, and things are in full swing.”
