After the super success of Garuda Vega, Shraddha Das is brimming with confidence. The glam diva will next be seen in a bilingual film titled Udgarsha, directed by Sunil Kumar Desai.
The actress, who is all gung-ho about her role in the thriller, says, “I play a girl named Krutika who is shrewd, smart and manipulative. After modeling internationally, she becomes a private secretary to the baddie Kishore. My look is very sexy and glamorous.”
She adds, “I like doing contrasting roles in every project I do. This is completely opposite to my journalist character in Garuda Vega, which in turn was different from my role in Guntur Talkies.”
Shraddha reveals that the film doesn’t have any songs and dances. “But the gripping narrative makes the plot an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The screenplay is fast-paced and visually captivating and the meaningful dialogues make the plot more interesting. Director Sunil Kumar is known as the Alfred Hitchcock of Kannada cinema; so he’s a master when it comes to the screenplay,” says Shraddha. The actress adds that shooting for Telugu and Kannada scenes is demanding.
“Since we are shooting for both the languages simultaneously, it’s a bit tough, but I am getting used to it. Since Kannada is a bit similar to Telugu, I am able to pick it up without much difficulty,” she explains.
