Celebrities at World Cup!
Several top tollywood celebrities are heading off to the United Kingdom to witness some of the matches in which India is playing.
Film stars Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu are just some of the celebrities from Hyderabad who are planning to be in the United Kingdom to witness some of the important matches of the cricket World Cup.
Led by former Ranji player Chamundeswaranath, other celebrities including Suresh Babu, Melody Venkateswara Rao (Kakinda Port), Dr Kamineni Srinivas and Chandra Kumar are all planning to watch three important live matches on June 9, June 13 and June 16, when India will be playing against Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan respectively. “We are going to stay for nearly one week in the UK to witness these important matches. If India reaches the semi-finals, then we will go again,” says Chamundeswaranath, who has arranged the itinerary.
Given that Venkatesh is an avid cricket fan, he generally travels to major tournaments along with the team. Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, generally opts to go with his family, but is joining the celebrity group this time. “All these three matches will be played within one week, so it’s a 10-day trip and I am planning my shoots accordingly,” says Venky, who adds that the next schedule of his film Venky Mama will soon start in Jammu and Kashmir.
