Comedian-turned-actor Sunil got a jolt as his latest film Edu Gold Ehe was a big dud at the box-office. The film released on the occasion of Dasara and disappointed everyone. As a result, director Shankar, who wanted to make a film with Sunil, is now on the horns of a dilemma.

Shankar recently bought the remake rights of the Malayalam hit film, Two Countries, and announced its Telugu remake with Sunil as the lead. But, that announcement was made before Sunil’s Edu Gold Ehe released.

According to a source, the director is now looking for other options to replace Sunil. The source added that even his friends from the industry asked him to drop the project with Sunil, as it was not worth it. When contacted, Shankar said, “If there is anything, I will inform you. The shooting of this film has not yet started because I didn’t get the right female lead and I don’t know when the shooting will begin.”

The source added that the shooting may not take place this year at all.
