Following the recent announcement of a sequel to the 2019 hit film Rakshasudu, a remake of Tamil film Ratsasan, we learn that the makers have approached Vijay Sethupathi to star in the bilingual thriller.
Director Ramesh Varma reportedly bounced the idea and story line to the actor in Chennai recently, and Vijay has given oral consent. But, “Being one of the busiest actors in South cinema, Vijay wanted to look at his dates diary before confirming,” according to a source close to the development.
Ramesh feels a brilliant performer like Vijay Sethupathi will do complete justice to the story, and take the psychological thriller to the next level. Moreover, having a star like Vijay will increase the film’s reach. After his riveting performance in Uppena, which was released earlier this year, the Tamil actor has become a favourite with the Telugu audience too. He has been signing more Telugu projects.
