‘Scared of delivering lines in Telugu’

It was proactiveness which won her the part in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR, said Alia Bhatt.

Speaking at the launch of the RRR trailer in Mumbai, the actress said, “I met Rajamouli Sir at Hyderabad airport and I approached him and told him, ‘Sir I want to work in your film. I’ll do anything to be in your film’. And it really was like a dream come true when he said that there was actually something that I could do.”

Alia, who plays Sita in the film, went on to say, “To my surprise, he [Rajamouli] said, ‘Sita is very important in the film, and I am happy that you match her character’.”

Talking of her experience of working in the film, the actress said, “I prepared for a year…I worked on my lines for a year. She also shared that the scariest part for her was having to deliver the dialogues in Telugu."
