A biopic on Karanam Malleswari

It’s raining biopics all over. In recent times, a series of films released, especially on sportspersons. Now, another biopic is all set to begin, and this time it will be on weightlifter Karanam Malleswari, India’s first woman Olympic medal winner. This will mark the debut of  Sanjana Reddy in Hindi. “Sanjana has done extensive research on Malleswari and prepared a script, which she later narrated to Malleswari herself who permitted her to continue,” says a source. A big Hindi production house is going to produce this film and an announcement about the leading lady will be made soon. It is learnt that Sonakshi Sinha is in consideration.
