Yet another project from the makers of Baahubali is in the offing. Buzz is that Arka Media, who earlier produced the epic film, are planning to make a web series titled The Rise of Sivagami, based on the book written by Anand Neelakantan.

The web series reportedly has a high budget and several names, including director Deva Katta, are being considered to helm the project. However, a source close to the production house says that the Baahubali makers are still toying with the idea.

“The production house has been mulling over the idea of The Rise of Sivagami, based on the book written by Anand Neelakantan. The idea is currently being discussed internally and is still in the development stage,” informs a source, adding that the platform of the project (a web series or a feature film) is yet to be finalised.

“The production house will hold several rounds of discussions with various filmmakers before taking the final call,” adds the source. Sivagami’s character was portrayed by Ramykrishnan in Baahubali.
