Venky Kudumula is thrilled with his back-to-back hits. “My debut film Chalo was a smash hit, and my second film, Bheeshma was also a super success, and I just couldn’t have asked for a better start to my career,” shares Venky.
But Kudumula says he remains grounded. He believes that what worked for both films was honest writing coupled with quirky humour.
“I guess that’s what I learnt from my guruji, Trivikram Srinivas — to be as honest as possible in storytelling. I believe if there’s genuineness in the script, it’ll automatically transform on the screen, and I think that’s what happened with both my earlier films,” he explains.
While Venky is all poised for a hat trick, he shares that he is yet to think of whom he will collaborate with for his next film.
“Honestly, I am yet to start working on the script. I think I’d like to first enjoy the successes,” says Venky.
Then adding how he is not carried away by success, he talks about how he considers responsibility a by-product of success.
“I believe that as we work with more people and in different genres, we get to learn the craft better. So to me, what’s important is the process of learning,” he says, concluding.
