Mana Mugguri Love Story releases on November 8.

Debutant director Shashank Yeleti is feeling a mix of emotions. Nervous, yet excited as his first ever web series Mana Mugguri Love Story releases on November 8, he says he’s waiting with bated breath to gauge the audience response. Talking about the series that stars Navdeep, Tejaswi Madivada and Adith Arun in the lead roles, Shashank shares, “We shot most of the film on sync sound, almost eighty per cent of it. The aim was to get the voice expression right along with saving time. It has been a fun experience.”

Interestingly, the script of the series, a rom-com shot in 39 days, has been written by director Nandini Reddy. When quizzed why he chose to direct someone else’s script for his first big outing, Shashank reveals, “The characters in this story are very strong. And the fact that it has been written by a commercially successful director like her (Nandini) was an icing on the cake. It was like a perfect dish served on the platter for me.” While the series has already released in the US to a good response, Shashank is excited about the release in India. “A wider audience will see the film! I hope the response in India is similar too,” he concludes.
