Nandamuri Kalyanram is going to play a Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbai or MLA in his upcoming film, directed by debutant Upendra Madhav. And the project will be launched on May 10.

“The film is a complete family entertainer and so, Kalyanram gave his green signal,” says a source. Viswaprasad and Bharath Chowdhary are jointly producing the breezy entertainer.

Post Pataas, Kalyanram has been looking out for break-through scripts. He believed Upendra’s story  will show him in a new light and has given the green signal for the project.

Director Upendra earlier worked with Srinu Vaitla and Anil Ravipudi. “The actor knows him from the time of Pataas where Upendra worked as an assistant director. Both the actor and the director believed the script had great potential,” adds the source. The female lead is yet to be decided.
