Kajal Aggarwal bags Bharateeyudu 2
The Nene Raju Nene Mantri actress has been cast as the leading lady opposite Kamal Haasan in the shankar directorial.
It’s confirmed! Kajal Aggarwal has been cast as the leading lady of Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming film, Bharateeyudu 2 (Indian 2), a sequel to his hit 1996 film of the same name.
Apparently, there were several actresses’ names in the reckoning, but Kamal and director Shankar seem to have zeroed in on Kajal for the role. Not surprisingly, the 33-year-old is elated at the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema.
A source close to the actress says, “When Kajal was offered the role, she was only too pleased to be able to work with Kamal Haasan, her inspiration. She is glad to be a part of the sequel to an iconic film.”
Apparently, to work with Shankar has been one of Kajal’s long standing dreams. And now, it’s finally coming true. “She is absolutely thrilled that the opportunity has come to her. She is likely to start filming early next year,” the source adds.
