Rana Daggubati signs his next

If the dismal show of Aranya, a period drama, has dampened the spirits of Rana Daggubati, we may never know, for the actor has already embarked on another experimental project. The upcoming period drama is to be directed by debutant Venky, a protégé of filmmaker Sukumar.

According to unnamed sources, the Baahubali actor is pleased with how Venky has picked up the plotline. While rumours are rife that the film is going to be a period drama, there’s still no confirmation on the era. Efforts are now on to take the film on floor soon.

The source informs, “Rana is someone who always loves to juggle various roles and scripts, irrespective of their results. His film with Venky is a step in that direction. The script is being developed and the pre-production is in full swing.”
