Gopichand to take on Chiru!

Actor Gopichand is all set to compete with Megastar Chiranjeevi! The actor’s upcoming film, Chanakya, directed by Thiru and produced by Anil Sunkara, is likely to have a Dasara release, just around the time when Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa is also scheduled to release.

While Chiru’s film is a period drama, Gopichand's film is an action thriller in which he plays a military officer. “Both films have patriotic subjects and some scenes of Gopichand’s film were even shot at the Indian border,” says a source, who adds that the team of Chanakya is confident of holding their own against Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus.
