Even as several filmmakers have been breaking their heads to reschedule their travel plans and itinerary, the makers of Karthikeya 2, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, seems to be heading north. Apparently, in the film’s script, the makers were supposed to travel to shoot the film in a few South Asian countries.

However, with traveling restrictions owing to COVID-19, the makers were initially apprehensive about the shooting. “But we managed to shoot all the major portion of the film in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh just before the second lockdown,” reveals the film’s director Chandoo Mondeti, who adds that the shooting will be wrapped up by the end of this month.

Chandoo also informed that the film unit has built sets on the Hyderabad city outskirts so that nothing affected their plans in wrapping up the film by September. “We are going to Greece for a possibly 10-day schedule, and once we wrap up that schedule we will focus on VFX, which we assume would last for around 4 months,” the director adds.
