With collections slowly dipping for Pawan Kalyan starrer “Bro’ after record breaking weekend collections of Rs 52 crore plus net in AP/TS, the movie is in the spotlight as young actor Sai Tej touring various theatres and temples in Andhra Pradesh, while the producer TG Vishwa Prasad tackling allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Minister Ambati Rambabu over alleged NRI funds. “These financial allegations are baseless and unwarranted. Since the production costs are on paper and eventually reflect in IT returns. It is strictly between Zee studios and our team. Whereas, stars are bound to file their financials in their respective returns, so Ambati’s allegations have no merit. Even Syam Babu’s role has no resemblance to Rambabu,” said Vishwa Prasad to the media.

Earlier, Ambati Rambabu raised questions about funds for the movie. “He is an NRI and money is coming for Pawan Kalyan from the USA. It is a big scam and needs to be investigated. Chandrababu’s team is providing a package to Pawan Kalyan through his man Vishwa Prasad,” alleged Ambati Rambabu, who also hints at dipping collections for the movie. “It is turning out to be a disaster with the figures I have on my hand,” he added.

Summing up the fight between producer and politician, a distributor, on condition of anonymity, says, “Sai Dharam Tej yatra has been eclipsed in this political slugfest. With Vishwa Prasad taking the responsibility and visiting various channels to condemn these allegations, the promotions have slowed down.”

He further adds, “Film promotions are done based on the content of the movie, but this time it has taken a new turn. Producer has to refrain himself since it is a simple message-centric family drama and not a political potboiler,” he concludes.
