Starting a new life in a new home

After their intimate wedding ceremony on Friday, Kajal aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu couple performed a gruha pravesha (house warming) ceremony on Saturday, and entered the new house, said Kajal’s sister Nisha.

“Moving into a new home is like starting a completely new life. The ceremony was a close-knit affair, with only close relatives of the bride and the groom in attendance. The couple performed a few rituals,” shared Nisha. The bride would return to her birth family home for the evening rituals (Pooja and Vrat), Nisha said, adding, “The couple is going to stay in Mumbai for now.”

After Friday’s marriage ceremony, there was also a reception, Nisha said.

“Depending on the situation, if things (COVID-19) ease out a bit, then we might think of a reception at a later stage for people from the industry,” she added.

Meanwhile, all Nisha wants at the moment is to take a nap. “The celebrations were overwhelming and I am tired,” says the bride’s sister, who has been overseeing all the arrangements for the celebrations.
