Has 2 States Telugu remake been shelved?

The Telugu remake of the Hindi film, 2 States, starring Adivi Sesh, seems to have come to a standstill. The film, which was launched in a grand manner an year ago, not only marked the debut of Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivani but also the comeback of the yesteryear sensation Bhagyashree. However, nothing official has been heard of the film in a while now.

According to a source, the shooting might have taken a temporary blow over some differences in opinion. “Sesh apparently wants a few changes to be made in the script, and the producer is in agreement with the actor. As a result of this, the director now wants to abandon ship.”

The producers are planning to rope in another director to helm the project. “It is still not known, however, if they’re considering starting afresh or planning to use what has already been shot,” added the source.

Word is that the producers’ plan C is to scrap the film completely, for it seems to have become too late to start afresh. Looks like Shivani might have to wait a little bit before she can make her Tollywood debut.
