Post the success of the 2020-action–comedy Middle Class Melodies, Anand Deverakonda is eyeing realistic roles that are easier for his audiences to connect to.  Now, in his forthcoming film under director Damodar Attada, Anand will be seen in the role of a government school teacher. Saanve Megghana and Geeth Saini will be the female leads in the film.

“It’s an edgy film based on how middle class people look at marriage and life after marriage,” explains director Damodar, adding that the film has an interesting take on marriages. “But there’s much humour blended subconsciously with the thriller elements of the story.”

Incidentally, the film, which was shot in and around Hyderabad, was inspired by real-life incidents. “I’ve penned a story that reflects all societal happenings in a thrilling manner. I got the idea for the film while browsing the news some years ago. Back then, I was in touch with Vijay Deverakonda and his family. When I pitched the story to Anand, he liked it,” explains the director, who immediately went for a trail photo shoot session.

“Anand perfectly suited the role and we decided to take the film on floors.” Damodar also tells us that Anand underwent twenty days of workshop to get his body language, diction, dressing sense, mannerisms and walking style as suited to his character.
